Come away with us... and experience a heartwarming weekend in the historic Vermont countryside. Surround yourself in the early American atmosphere of the Quechee Inn at Marshland Farms filled with antiques, warm fires, cozy quilted beds, and uninterrupted knitting.
Lisa has created a fulfilling weekend getaway retreat just for you. With a carefully planned schedule that allows you to be only as involved as you wish. Lisa and her staff provide ample time to knit, hike, visit with new friends, take walks in the woods of Quechee or go shopping in the town of Woodstock, Vermont. Enjoy meals prepared by the chefs of the Quechee Inn, known for their exquisite country gourmet cuisine, and afternoon knitting workshops led by Cathy Payson of Reynolds JCA Yarn, Nov 6-9, and Lynne Barr, Nov 13-16 surrounded by the beautiful Vermont countryside.
This year’s retreats will include a fun new adventure! By popular demand, we will be revisiting the Six Loose Ladies Yarn Shop in Proctorsville, VT. This delightful store will host us for 2 mini workshops teaching new techniques to enhance our knitting with embellishments and details as only they can present them. We will then head north for lunch at the King Arthur Flour Café followed by a visit to the lovely Northern Nights Yarn Shop in Norwich, VT.
Our daily schedule continues to include rejuvenating yoga sessions led by Holly Hofman. Holly has a very fun, gentle approach to yoga that has been well received by those new to yoga while offering more advanced yogis the ability to extend themselves safely under her guidance.
Likewise, Mary Alice Goering, our staff massage therapist will offer a 1 hour massage to every participant in our weekend. With years of experience in private practice as well as being a member of the massage teams for the Athens, Greece and Salt Lake Olympics, the Boston Marathon and the Beach To Beacon in Maine, Mary Alice brings an amazing depth of knowledge and skill to our weekend.
